Privacy notice
Last updated: 22 September 2026
This notice explains how Pinchwell Seasonings Ltd, trading as Pinchwell Seasonings Ltd ("we", "us"), collects and uses your personal information when you visit www.pinchwellseasonings.com, place an order or get in touch. We are the controller of your information.
Contact us: hello@pinchwell.com — Princes Risborough, United Kingdom — company number 102354689.
What we collect
- Identity and contact details: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), and delivery and billing addresses.
- Order details: what you bought, prices, delivery method, dispatch and tracking information, refunds, returns, and messages about your order.
- Payment details: your card payment is processed by Stripe. We receive only limited information such as the payment status, card type and last four digits. We never receive your full card number.
- Account details (if you create an account): your login email, a securely hashed password, saved addresses and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Marketplace orders: if you bought from us on Etsy or eBay, we receive your name, delivery address and order details from that marketplace so that we can fulfil and record your order.
- Technical information: the small items stored on your device described in our Cookie notice, and server logs needed to keep the site running securely.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- Processing, packing, delivering and supporting your order, including returns and refunds — to perform our contract with you.
- Sending order, dispatch and service emails — to perform our contract with you.
- Running your account and letting guests look up an order — to perform our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in giving customers access to their orders.
- Keeping accounting and tax records — to comply with our legal obligations.
- Preventing fraud and keeping our website and systems secure — our legitimate interests.
- Answering enquiries and complaints — our legitimate interests.
- Sending marketing emails — see below.
Marketing emails
We will only send you marketing emails if either you have given your consent (for example by signing up to our newsletter), or you have bought from our website and did not opt out at the time. In that case we may email you about our own similar products (the "soft opt-in"). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing hello@pinchwell.com.
We never use information we receive from Etsy or eBay orders for marketing.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Stripe does carry out automated fraud checks on payments. If your payment is declined, you can contact us.
Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs:
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd and Stripe, Inc.) — card payments and fraud prevention. For some purposes, such as fraud prevention and meeting its own legal obligations, Stripe acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Resend — sends our order and service emails for us.
- our website hosting provider — hosts the website and its database for us, so your order, account and enquiry records are stored on their systems.
- Royal Mail and any other delivery company we use — your name and address, and your email address or phone number where needed for tracking.
- Suppliers who send some kitchen & tableware directly to you — your name, delivery address and the details of those items, so they can deliver them.
- Our accountant and HM Revenue & Customs — where needed for tax.
- Professional advisers, insurers, the police or regulators — where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
- A buyer of our business, if it is ever sold. They would have to use your information in line with this notice.
Service providers that act on our behalf may only use your information on our instructions.
International transfers
Some of our providers, including Resend and Stripe, Inc., process data in the United States, and our hosting provider may store or process data outside the UK. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected as UK law requires. We rely either on the UK–US data bridge (where the recipient is certified under it) or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Email us for more details.
How long we keep it
- Order, payment and refund records: 6 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as required for tax purposes.
- Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account. Your order records are then kept as above.
- Guest order-lookup links: 90 days after dispatch.
- Unfinished baskets: 30 days.
- Error reports: 90 days. When something goes wrong on the website we record what failed so we can fix it. Those records occasionally quote the information that caused the error, so they are cleared rather than kept.
- Enquiries not linked to an order: 2 years from our last reply.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list so that we don't contact you again.
Artificial intelligence
We do not use artificial intelligence to make decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect. We use AI writing tools to help us draft product descriptions and other website copy. No customer information is used for that, and we do not send your personal information to an AI provider.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information erased;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew).
Some of these rights have exceptions. For example, we must keep order records for tax purposes. To make a request, email hello@pinchwell.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first by emailing hello@pinchwell.com or using our contact form. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay, and tell you the outcome.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date at the top.
